Only a Bud.

A bud, That's where it all began. A small, green, tightly closed bud, little did it know the journey it would take. Day by day as the sun and rain kissed it good morning and sang it goodnight she began to relax and open up. Small amounts at a time but in taking her time she was able to show the world her beautiful, vibrant, exhilarating colors. Days and weeks went on and she opened up to almost her full potential, when suddenly, she felt a pain go through her, deep into her stem; all he way into her core.
She was being taken from the ground, roughly grabbed and whisked away, against her will. Away from her friends, away from her comfort zone, away from the sun and the rain. Just as she thought she would never see the light - her dear beautiful sun again, she was placed in a foreign feeling world. It was cold and wet and she could feel the sweet liquid dancing up into her storm, all the way up into her thorns and leaves. There she was, placed in this small glass cage placed in front of a window; being able to see her sun, moon and rain. Watching as the trees tickled each other as the wind danced through their leaves, but only watching never feeling.
She was sure that she would never feel anything again but the cold; the cold, wet, alone feeling that loomed in her, until she was picked again. Lifted up, and lightly tapped out as her world turned upside down again. What was her point? Why was she here, why did she open up in the first place? She could feel herself wilting more and more by the second. Just as she was getting used to her new upside down world a new feeling was thrown into her life. Pain.
God! The hot, searing pain, a burning gut wrenching feeling that last what felt like a eternity. The worst feeling, she was sure, that she would ever have to endure in her life. Then came the beautiful release of her cold damp prision. She felt heavier this time, heavier and brighter, there was a warm golden shine that accompanied her vibrant, exotic colors. It hit her, they loved her! They loved her so much that they wanted her there always, someone chose her because they loved her. They added one or two touches to enhance her beauty and then froze her. This time they placed her in front of a mirror by another window and she saw herself, truly for the first time. She was that she was beautiful. They helped her through the growing and through the pain, being alone and scared paid out in the end because when they saw her they took her as they saw her, not completely opened but beautiful and they placed her in the middle of it all. Placed her in the center of their world, for all to see, in the center of their world as the wind danced and tickled and the sun continued to shine and rain kept singing its praises and sweet dreams. All to the dazzling, electrifying and alluring beauty who started out as just a bud. A bud, who grew and opened into someone seamless perfection.

Fools Gold

Those days. Those days where it feels as though nothing is going to go right, everything gets on your nerves, you just feel horrible about yourself and well plain English? You are done with the bullshit. One thing happens, in the morning per say and you just hate every second of every hour for the next day or so. Totally awful. You hate it, you hate yourself, you hate everything around you, you hate everything and you don't know why. Just IZ.
Then there are those days when the weather is totally shitty, you've had a really bad past couple of days and you feel like being in this mood is never going to go away when all of a sudden BAM! You're mood is the best it's been in the longest time and you are loving it. Every single millisecond of it. You wake up and the sun is shining (whether it actually is or not) you are happy and smiling and just in a fabulous mood for no reason at all. You're in a Fools Gold mood. The definition of 'Fools Gold' is: something that you are very attracted to that you later find is not worth very much You aren't sure whether it's real or no, you aren't sure whether it will last or not but you are extremely happy about it and very very attracted to the current mood.
When those moods come don't question it. Go sit in the sun or dance in the rain. Sing at the top of your lungs, dance like no one is watching. Eat your favorite food, read a favorite book. Love on someone who isn't expecting it, just let them know how much you love them and desire them in your life. Sometimes it's necessary to be so damned happy that people worry about your sanity, it is a needed thing once and a while.
So when you are in a Fools Gold kind of mood, take complete advantage of it. Love it. Work it. Rage It. <3 font="">

Untitled, unknown, and incomplete.

Just a blip of the new piece i'm writing.

' As the sun set over the harbor he sat there watching the sea wink at him through the last remaining rays of the sun. The weather was still on the warmer side, while the sun was up at least; when the sun set and the evening set in it began bringing along not only a new variety of wild life and humans but also cooler weather.
Gavin sat on the edge of the dock, legs hanging off the end, with his freshly brewed coffee in his hands and his country music pouring from his headphones. Losing himself in the music and the sea was how he collected himself, kept himself calm and smooth; free of any wrinkles or stresses. As he sat there he could feel himself growing warmer, despite the chilling breeze coming off of the harbor in front of him. From his very core he was becoming warmer, lighter almost as he closed his eyes and saw the memories flashing in front of him, bringing an involuntary smile to his face. Finally, he let the feeling of bliss overtake him as he set his coffee on the deck next to him as he fell backward crossing his arms behind him. Before relaxing entirely however, he cranked up his music, took another long sip of his coffee and buttoned his jacket, allowing himself to lay back and the memories to overtake him. '

Barricade

Walls up, doors locked, windows nailed shut. She prepares herself for the storm. She prepares herself to take all that is coming her way, trying to knocked her down, take her joy...her reason for living. She's got her barricade up and ready to go, if she lets no one inside then she doesn't have the opportunity to get hurt, she doesn't have the option to let anyone in and tell her that she's wrong in her thinking and they way she loves who she does is wrong. The barricade protects against it all. Until one day.
One day she sees the sun, moving around the outside of her walls, knocking on her doors and peaking it's head in through the windows wanting her to let him in. Politely he speaks to her as she removes the nails from the windows, as she's letting her barricade down bit by bit she allows herself to open up to the sun and his tempting ways.
Removing the nails from the windows, unlocking doors, taking down boards that held up the walls, little by little giving him more room in her life until there was no more darkness left in her. Until there was nothing but light and soul and summer. The winter that had held her bones for so long was melting away with his every glance to her pale, fragile, cold body.
Day by day she is becoming stronger, she's speaking her mind, she's going out and doing things. Her body is becoming warmer and warmer, collecting more color until the sun had taken her over and engulfed her altogether and she wanted nothing but his light. Nothing but the smell of summer dancing through her nose and the warmth of the suns rays kissing her skin.
Laying down to sleep the sun says "I love you little one, with the right timing this can last for eternity." With one last kiss to her golden forehead he said goodnight, and as she closed her eyes she saw the sun getting smaller and smaller until she saw nothing but darkness.
When she awoke she was alone, she was still warm, her skin was still glowing and she was still strong but her soul was lacking. In the evening when the sun left her in her slumber he took his soul with him along with his everlasting light, leaving her desiring more, and never finding it.
Although the sun loved her for a time his light and warmth was not enough to  sustain the need her soul had for him. Even though the sun left his warm for her, as his gift to her for eternity without him by her side she slowly, day by day began building up her walls again. To keep the warmth and light he had given her from going out, she replaced the nails in her windows, locked up  her doors and laid the last board against her barricade.
